and other online album sites. If you wish to keep/build an archive of
pictures of the students, you need to have staff save the pictures in-house
before posting them to the outside service. At graduation, we show pictures
of our graduating students taken over their years at the school. We also
use the pictures for promotional materials. Of course of the thousands of
pictures taken, very few are ever used again.

Another option to consider is Google's Picasa. Users on Picasa can choose
whether or not to make their online albums public and the Picasa application
has some good (though basic) editing tools.
