lifetime warranty on the writing surface, bluetooth connectivity, no
external power requirements, use as a regular whiteboard, and can use
any IWB software whose license agreement allows it. (I am not sure
Smart Technologies or others allow their software to be used in that
fashion). It does come bundled with RM Easiteach.
The limitations are Stylus based rather than fingers. Functionality of
the stylus is maximized by pairing with only one computer. So if
multiple teachers use the classroom and are laptop based, each teacher
will need their own stylus.
We have had a few glitches with our MacOS drivers. Just received
update this week. Our teachers are learning eagerly. These are our
first IWB's and some teachers are somewhat familiar with IWB's while
others are learning to integrate them into their classroom.
All of our printers are hard wired into LAN and are not configured for
Bluetooth or wireless printing.
We will also be testing a portable slate that is set up just like the
Eno to work in concert with the Eno and give the teachers ability to
walk around or share with students at their seats.
So far, so good. I would be interested in other experiences with the
Polyvision equipment also.
