Re: ISED:Toshiba M700 Tablet and Geo Sketchpad

Won't help for now -- but a new version of GSP currently being developed al=
lows for different point sizes which makes this problem much easier to deal=
with (and easier to use with electronic whiteboards as well). Don't know w=
hen the new version will be generally available -- probably not any time so=
on.

Subject: ISED:Toshiba M700 Tablet and Geo Sketchpad

Hi ISEDers!

Welcome to fall. We recently rolled out a bunch of Toshiba M700 tablets fo=
r
our faculty and our new students. One of our math teachers, who previously
used the M200 tablet, has found that the calibration of the stylus when
using Sketchpad is poor. She has difficulty selecting points. Where the
tip of the stylus points and where the point is placed on the screen are no=
t
in the same place. That makes it hard to select a point that is already on
the screen.

I was wondering if anyone on the list is using the M700 with sketchpad and
if so are they experiencing similar problems.

Thanks,

Barbara
