Technology and Infrastructure Coordinator.

Director of Technology
This position will include responsibility for overseeing the elements of
day-to-day technology support operations for faculty, staff and students,
and for assisting in the planning and operations for campus technology
services, including: 200+ PC and Mac desktops and laptops, printers, wired
and wireless network, telecommunications, Windows and Mac file servers,
networked services and security, Blackbaud administrative software and
database management, audiovisual services, and institutional software.
The position will ensure that school owned technology hardware operates
successfully and is repaired efficiently.
The Assistant Director of Technology is also responsible for assisting in
the strategic planning in technology by developing and executing discrete
projects aligned to the Windward Technology Plan, and for developing and
maintaining relationships with third-party service providers and
negotiating contracts with vendors. The candidate will also research
telecommunications systems to align with campus needs.
This position calls for the ability to manage projects and troubleshoot
software, computing (Windows and MAC) and A/V equipment. The candidate
must have strong interpersonal skills and organizational abilities. The
Assistant Director of Technology works in association with the Director of
Technology and the Director of Instructional Technology and Research to
encourage and support interdisciplinary learning, as well as conceptualize
creative avenues for expanded learning. Experience utilizing educational
technology is an important component of the successful candidate's resume.
The ideal candidate has worked with Blackbaud software and understands
network design and architecture in a switched environment, industry
standards for network and telecommunications cabling, wireless network
design, the management of Microsoft servers and Active Directory, database
integration and utilization, and has the skills and experience required to
enhance the work of other members of the IT group.
The Assistant Director of Technology reports to the Director of Technology.
