artment, a social studies department, or should be cross-listed and acknowl=
edged under whichever heading a student requests.
The teachers are also contemplating the related issue of how a department e=
stablishes the criteria by which it will accept a new course as one of its =
own.
Any thoughts or experience with similar situations would be helpful.
