Re: emailing parents

Lorri -
Our E-mail Blasts (as we call them) are limited by our ISP - check your
contract to make sure of the amount allowed:
1) per day
2) per hour
3) number of recipients per send

The blasts are controlled thru the Main Office and are typically sent by the
Administrative Asst. to the Head of School.

We use this to email parents our weekly newsletter as well as any unusual
schedule changes due to weather, etc.

I hope this helped.

Subject: emailing parents

Just wondering if any of you have a policy about using school email to
send broadcast messages to parents--

do you limit who can send these messages? If so, who does?
is there an approval process for these types of messages if they come from
teachers or parents' association?
do you have a limit to how many and how often they can be sent?

any info is appreciated.
Thanks!
