Media Distribution and management in today's schools

I am interested in gathering information on how other schools manage and
utilize their Audio Visual systems and materials in today's high tech
world.

In particular, I am interested in:

- how schools manage software holdings (Videos, DVD's,
Laserdisks) and the size of their collections

- how teachers get access to these holdings, including policies
for short and long term loan of materials

- the hardware used to show these materials in the classroom
(projectors, large screen TV's)

- whether of not you use a centralized media distribution or
control system (your successes, failures and recommendations)

- how much of a role computers play in the control of or access
to media shown in the classroom

- who provides support and training for your faculty and staff

- who performs maintenance on the hardware to support these
services

- who budgets for the annual costs to maintain the hardware in
these efforts

- streaming media solutions and how much manpower and money
does it take to make it a success

If there are schools out there willing to share, please post or share
your experiences with me via my contact information below.

If there has already been tons of data collected about these subjects,
please point me in that direction.
