Here's what we went with last year:

Shopping baskets could hold 10 of our netbooks. The charging station =20=
was messy at first, but we got the hang of it (about a week before =20
kids were allowed to take them home and we didn't need it anymore). =20=
The wiring was on 5 separate circuits, so it met local fire code =20
(internal electrician did it for us). Worked great!
In a classroom, a similar basket w/handles can be really nice. =20
Laptops can plug into 1-2 power strips. 10 is the max for most =20
outlets. Classroom-friendly solution.
