No, we don't.

Our full-time webmaster, a new position as of summer '07, is a member of
the Information Systems group, the support team here at Lab. He works with
about 20 staff members in offices responsible for keeping their pages up
to date through a content management system. Workflow is built into the
content management system so office supervisors can OK updates as needed.
Teachers who choose to use web sites or blogs are responsible for keeping
them up to date. The webmaster and I review them monthly for freshness and
AUP compliance.
There is also a faculty member who has 1/5 of her contract dedicated to
doing front page web site updates; she was instrumental in keeping web
content fresh and design parameters constant before there was a f/t
webmaster and before web site content management was as decentralized as
it is now. The new webmaster will absorb these duties as this school year
concludes.

The Webmaster's salary and the annual cost of the content management
system come out of my IT operating budget. Those content managers trained
to use the CMS had those duties added to their overall job descriptions
and are absorbed by those office budgets. In most cases, the content was
being produced by the same people in other formats, so the only "add" was
the 30 minutes of training time to enter it into the CMS instead of
shipping it to tech staff who used to post it for them.
