Virtual Paragon. Parents have been very pleased with the service and it
has eased the administrative burden on our teachers. =20

Subject: Re: Web-based Parent Conference Sign-ups
We use such a service and it seems to work pretty well--takes class and
teacher data from an existing database and sets up conferences pretty
neatly. I like it as a parent and as a teacher.
The only problem is when families don't actually use it or bother to
read
the message that contains their username and password. Then they can be
rather grumpy (to say the least!) when they cannot schedule a
conference--all our fault, of course. The rare technical glitches aren't
much fun, either.
But it sure beats the heck out of someone having to spend days and days
answering the phone and doing this by hand.
I don't actually know the name of our vendor, but if you contact me
off-list I can get you contact info. It's a pretty simple system.
Cheers--Peter Gow
