Re: movie making in the classroom and document cameras

My school, the Dwight-Englewood School has had a one-on-one tablet program =
in place for several years, and we use the Fujitsu which has moviemaker =
(as opposed to iMovie). I have used it in the classroom for 2 purposes:
1. I run a peer leadership program during which I am training US students =
to run a once a week activity/discussion session for a 7th grade group. I =
can film my leaders at work, and then we can view their session together =
and discuss all that was going on in their classroom.
2. I also use moviemaker to film my dance club's rehearsals, again with =
the intention to use it as a training vehicle. Students can use our =
footage to review choreography and to critique their own performance.

My school's professional day this year is dedicated entirely to technology,=
and I want to ensure that teachers are able to link what they learn on =
the professional day back to their classrooms. The workshop that I am =
teaching is iMovie, and I was hoping=20
to share exciting ways that teachers are using movie making in the =
classrooms. If you could share ways that this tool is being utilized at =
your school, I'd love to share them with my school.=20

I was also wondering if anyone is using document cameras. We are looking =
to purchase some, and want to make sure the model works well in an =
educational setting. If you know of a great model, please let me know what =
it is and why you like it. If you know=20
of a terrible model, that would help too.=20

Thank you,=20
