Re: Wordpress help

Another option for hosting is to do it yourself.

We recently migrated a number of single WordPress sites into a
WordPress MU install that we host internally (single installs were
internally hosted to). I am not someone who is extremely familiar with
MySQL and PHP, but here were a number of excellent site out there,
including the WordPress MU site that walked me through the process.

By self hosting you have you own box you have the ability to control
the environment. The one issue is support, however in most of these
one-click installs and host solution you either have not help, web
based help or have to pay for support.

I have found that through posting the right question(s) toTwitter,
using a hashtag (#wpmu), following the right people (andrea_r &
wpmuguru are great), using the WordPress site(s), yeilds great
results. There are a few good web site to look at to:

http://wpmututorials.com/
http://bavatuesdays.com/
http://dev.wpmued.org/

If you have any questions about how we did it and what we're going
feel free to contact me.

Bill
