Re: Who and what would you choose to help inspire a 'rethinking school' brainstor

Been meaning to reply to this imagination challenge for awhile!

The first question is easy to address. I would include:
=E2=80=A2 students (I have a few in mind but for privacy's sake will not
include their names)
=E2=80=A2 the MS learning specialist at my school (ditto on the name)
=E2=80=A2 [ http://www.drhallowell.com/ ]Edward Hallowell
=E2=80=A2 Arnold Wasserman of [ http://www.ideafactory.com/home/home.asp=
]The
Idea Factory)
=E2=80=A2 Randy Fielding or Prakash Nair from [
http://www.designshare.com/index.php/home ]DesignShare
=E2=80=A2 Larry Rosenstock, founding principal of [
http://www.hightechhigh.org/about/ ]High Tech High
=E2=80=A2 a number of the folks who participate on this listserv and the=
[
http://isenet.ning.com/ ]isenet.ning
=E2=80=A2 [ http://www.sirkenrobinson.com/ ]Ken Robinson
=E2=80=A2 others whose names will likely come to my mind days or weeks f=
rom now!

And in case you are wondering if I realize that a number of the above
people are known for their accomplishments in areas outside of Fred's
specific query, my reply is "yes". Also, Fred did say "imagine that you
had a really big budget."

As to the second question, I haven't compiled that list yet, though I
would add to the question: What would you recommend the participants read
and/or watch AND/OR VISIT in preparation for participating in the redesig=
n
effort?

Cheers,
Laurie
