A question has arisen here at Ravenscroft regarding our Computer Science
program and the Middle School. We're looking at how best to move forward
with building momentum for our Upper School courses in Computer Science,
having added computer electives in 6th and 7th grade, but wonder what
other schools are doing at the Middle School level before we look to add
an 8th grade elective in Alice programming for the coming year.
Do you offer an elective set of Comp Sci classes grades 6 - 8 to garner
interest to feed your Upper School courses? Or does the Computer Science
course track of old not apply in the age of 21st Century Learning?
Thoughts, ideas, comments?
Thanks,
