We are an Apple based 1:1 and they do not offer accidental damage
coverage. We have moved from Safeware to Student Insurance Partners.
We also encourage parents to add riders on to their homeowners. The
students own their laptops thus the responsibility shift to the
parents. Both solutions offer much better premiums and similar
deductibles. The S.I.P. also covers cell phones, pda's, external HD,
printers, etc.
Of note: we have not had to file a claim yet with S.I.P. so we don't
have any real world experience to inform you. They do have an A.M.
Best rating of A-.
Google research with complaints on them turned up few issues.
