Re: imaging software

We have been using Clonezilla SE for over a year now and I highly
recommend it as a free alternative. Its fast and we have yet to came
across any driver problems for pxe boot. (had to do a kernel update for
the new Dell E series on Ubuntu)=20

The only issue we have with clonezilla is partition size. When using a
larger hard drive clonezilla does not take advantage of the extra space.
(tried all the options -k1 -r with no luck) So if you original image is
60 gigs you will have to use an alternative method (gparted) to increase
the size for those lucky ones that get a bigger drive.=20

I have used the more advanced ones mentioned on the list, but a simple
one
(if can do it) is clonezilla. I usually had a dedicated PC in the lab
with
something like a hard drive dock like this

from Unitek (they have become much better nowadays)

Here is the clonezilla URL
