University School--Biology Opening

University School, an independent boys' day school on two campuses in
Cleveland, Ohio, is seeking an Upper School biology teacher for a unique
faculty position for the 2009-10 school year. =20

University School's Upper Campus sits on 221 wooded acres and is home to
a student-run trout hatchery and maple sugaring operation as well as an
astronomical observatory. Science classes do field work on the campus
and study the lifecycle of the trout, and students from our Lower Campus
spend much of the year building a full-sized birch bark canoe and then
sail it on the Upper Campuses lake.

The ideal candidate for our biology position has experience teaching on
the high school or college level, an advanced degree in biology, and a
strong interest in eventually becoming the steward of our outdoor
