r those who are charged with trying to get teachers to understand that you =
can't teach online the same way teachers traditionally teach. I would not u=
se these sites directly with your faculty. It would be best to spend some q=
uality time digesting the material then engaging teachers in the conversati=
on of ways they can best use the online environment to create a rich, conne=
cted learning environment. I would start with the
Theory and Practice of Online Learning by Athabasca University. I firmly be=

for anyone who is going to try actively train others in the practice of dis=
tributed learning.

Subject: Re: moodle questions
Hi,
We are hosting Moodle internally in our network. I had an intern help setu=
p
Moodle over the Christmas break, and all she did was read the instructions
online.
The biggest issue we are facing is how faculty can use Moodle to enhance
their classroom instructions. This is something we are slowly learning as
we help faculty to start using Moodle. This is our first time utilizing an
online learning system.
I think if you explain the cost of Blackbaud and why you believe Moodle is
better for the school, I'm sure you will have faculty who are willing to
move to Moodle. I think that as long as you are able to help the faculty
understand Moodle and be there to support them in the transition, they will
be willing to do it themselves.
