Hello!

In my experience as a learning specialist and coordinator of academic
support programs in independent schools for the last 13 years, I would
suggest that supporting and accommodating students with learning
differences is an area that warrants further attention and consideration
for all independent schools. The number of students being tested for
ADHD, LD and executive function difficulties continues to rise and, I
believe, schools need to consider how to respond to this population, from
admissions to transition to college. The current issue of Independent
School Magazine addresses some of these issues.
