Re: extra testing time

This is a complicated question that can't be answered briefly. In the
governance section of the NAIS website there are several papers on this
subject. One good resource there is:

Americans with Disabilities Act and Independent Schools
Prepared for NAIS by:
Maurice Watson, Partner, Blackwell, Sanders, Peper, Martin
Kirsten Byrd, Associate, Blackwell, Sanders, Peper, Martin
Kimberly Jones, Associate, Blackwell, Sanders, Peper, Martin
Debra Wilson, Legal Counsel, NAIS

Subject: extra testing time

Are independent schools subject to the Americans With Disabilities =20
Act or some other legislation that requires them to give extra =20
testing time to students with documented disabilities such as ADD or =20
other LDs? If not, is there anything in NAIS accrediting or policy =20
that would mandate this?
