Seeks an Upper School Technology Coordinator to begin during the 2007-08

St. Catherine's School is an Episcopal day and boarding school in
Richmond, Virginia, founded in 1890 with an enrollment of 862 girls in
grades JK-12. The Upper School includes grades nine through twelve and
is located in several buildings on a sixteen-acre campus.=20

In the school year 2007-08 a MacBook Laptop program began in the
seventh grade. By 2009-2010 the ninth graders will be participating in
this laptop program. The responsibilities of this eleven-month position
are the following:
* Work with the Upper School Director to identify key technology
skills and integrate technology in thoughtful ways in the curriculum
* Prepare the Upper School teachers to utilize technology
effectively in the new laptop environment=20
* Provide guidance and direction on using technology tools as
resources for research, knowledge management, organization and enhanced
productivity for teachers and students.
* Provide technical support and troubleshooting for all members
of the Upper School community
* Manage, support and train teachers for the Student
Information System.=20

The Upper School Technology Coordinator will be a part of the planning
process for the Technology Department. The Technology Department
consists of a network manager, a network and support administrator, and
division coordinators.=20

The candidate should have a college degree, experience with
instructional technology in an educational environment, and experience
with support services both local and network wide. The successful
candidate should have a positive, can-do attitude; work effectively as
part of a team; communicate effectively with all levels of the
organization; and have the ability to self manage and work with minimal
direction. This position requires sound reasoning skills and sound
judgment and a strong customer service mentality.

In addition to the description above, the school especially seeks
candidates with the interest and ability to coach at the Middle or Upper
School level.
