(IS SIG) will have a face-to-face meeting at NECC and will provide Wimba
access for those, not on location, to join us. We can also set up a time
and 'place' to meet specifically on this topic, a "IS SIG: Independent
School Online Courses" gathering. The ISTE IS SIG wiki membership is
currently around 150 members.
The School Computing wiki, which is linked from the IS SIG wiki, is
another resource to use in these efforts as well as continued discussion
in the ISED list, which is also linked as a resource.
http://independentschools.iste.wikispaces.net/ (IS SIG JHU Intern
Kristopher Wiemer kris@knfwiemer.net ) What other resources should the
IS SIG wiki link to?
The intent here is not to step on any toes, it is to support this
incredibly important topic. If there are other ideas out there please
share. It is so important to have all of these wonderful resources and
groups collaborate on issues of importance to our students. Part of the
challenge is 'how' do we do that. ;)
Thoughts, feedback?

Could this be a "birds of a feather" at NECC, at least to get going?

Fred, Bill, Peter, Bob, Jeanne, Chris and others,
Bob and I were just IM'ing a bit out of this thread, and there seems to
be enough of an interest here and enough of a *need *- would people be
interested in as 1 or 2 day conference sometime early this summer? I'm
thinking about a get together which would include a face to face
gathering for those who could make it with others skyped or
teleconferenced in.
Not sure if I have a good sense of a locus of geography for all of us,
but I'm feeling as though taking a day or two out to meet some of you
all in person and brainstorm ideas and begin to really push some of
these ideas forward would be a very valuable use of my time.
Others?
In peace,
