Hi All
I am Director of Technology at Sanford School in Hockessin, DE. We launched
a redesign of our website last September and also added an new internal
portal. For our iportal, we are using a non-profit iGoogle account setup
which is branded as sanfordschool.org for our email and many other nice
services. We were using an on campus Exchange server with OWA that is still
in the server room but not actively used. It will be turned off in a few
months. The transition went very well with only a few problems - easier than
our last Exchange upgrade! We did in-house training sessions and most people
made the shift comfortably. Down time has been minimal and we can push out
to cell phones and PDAs with ease. It was wonderful this winter when the
local power went down in bad weather and those in surrounding areas still
had services. It has really helped to free up me and my network
administrator to focus on other areas. We like it! Good luck and feel free
to have your Tech Director contact me with specific questions.
